What are the ins and outs of this restorative procedure?

Comprehensive Exam

To begin, your experienced dentist will first assess your tooth for any damage, infection, or other issues. If a root canal is deemed necessary, then we will carefully break down the treatment process so that you fully understand each step. Additionally, we will be sure to answer all of your questions thoroughly, ensuring you feel informed and at ease throughout the procedure.

Clean & Disinfect

We prep you for a root canal by numbing the tooth and the surrounding area. Your Hadlock dentist uses special tools to clean away any decay and then removes the infection from the inside of the tooth (the pulp). He or she then reshapes the root canal to get it ready for a special resin.

Seal & Protect

After the infection has been cleared away, your restorative dentist fills the remaining space with a special resin. This solidifies your tooth structure acting much like a regular dental filling. Your tooth is then restored to its natural function with a tooth-colored filling or crown to blend in with your smile.

I took my young boy in for an emergency visit. We had no appointment, but the office was able to fit us in. All of the staff were great with my son, and the dentist in particular was wonderful with him. He was able to connect with my son and help him feel comfortable in the dentist's chair, even though he was in pain.

I had a bridge, which was installed by another dentist years ago, come out, and one of the supporting teeth was pretty much crumbled away. Dr. Gile was able to see me very quickly and evaluate the situation. I was scheduled for an extraction a few weeks out, as it was not an urgent issue, and when I went in for the procedure, everything about the visit was friendly, relaxed, and positive. Shoot, it almost felt like fun!

Such a wonderful (and clean!) office! The staff was so kind and patient with me. I felt at ease, comfortable, and in the loop throughout my entire appointment!
